Truck-Lite has expanded their line of 33 Series products, offering high and low intensity auxiliary lamps in six different colors.   “Expanding our line of the world’s smallest LED marker lamps was a decision we made to provide more applications for the end users.” stated Bob Ives, VP of Marketing.  “Owner-Operators and Fleets are getting more creative with lighting and these new products provide endless possibilities.”  The Truck-Lite brand is proud to be engineered and manufactured in the U.S.A.   

As auxiliary lamps, the 33 Series of lamps were not required to meet any output standards, but were designed for creative and appearance applications.  Just like Truck-Lite’s current 33 Series Mini-Marker, these lamps require a standard ¾” drill for mounting both the grommet or flange versions.  The lamps are so small; they can be carried into protective extrusions or mounted below mechanical features, unlike larger traditional style lights.

The expanded 33 Series will offer a variety of applications such as interior of cab, walkways, glove boxes, interior of trailers, bus applications and exterior auxiliary for show lighting if mounted on a separate switch.  “Our goal is to help our customers with easy-to-install products that provide them with the lights they need where they need it,” commented Brad VanRiper, Sr VP & Chief Technology Officer.  Products are offered in both standard and high intensity versions.  The high intensity line has been labeled “Super 33’s”, designed at .120 amps, whereas the standard line will be called “Model 33’s”, drawing only .03 amps.  The expansion offers colors in red, amber, green, blue, purple, and white, all in both high and low intensity.  

The lamps are about the size of a US penny, making a very small target as compared to traditional lamps.  In addition, all lamps are hardwired and easily retrofitted.  Like other Truck-Lite LED products, these lamps draw less current, allowing more power for other vehicle requirements and the electronics are completely sealed in epoxy to resist corrosion and moisture.
