The trucking industry has always been known for its toughness; heavy loads, long hauls and late hours.  Hardworking men and women fighting against the cold and rain and sleet for weeks at a time; safely delivering each and every load from point A to point B so they can head home for a few days, get a little rest and hit the road again.

A new DVD Video series, entitled I Wanna’ Be A Trucker, has recently been released by 4 State Trucks, home of ChromeShopMafia, to shed a positive new light on this tough industry.  This fun and entertaining video, produced in association with Ramsey MediaWorks, is primarily intended to educate children and put the viewer in the driver’s seat in order to give them a better appreciation for what it takes to be a professional truck driver.

I Wanna’ Be A Trucker is a light-hearted, educational and enjoyable journey that puts you in the cab along with a veteran truck driver during a typical day on the road.  You’ll begin the day with a pre-trip safety inspection and find out why it’s so important to check the oil, water, brakes, tires and lights before firing up your 400-horsepower diesel engine.  You’ll climb underneath a big rig and see what it takes to make it go, and you’ll find out how to adjust the brakes so you can make it stop.  Typical subjects like DOT regulations, bills of lading and log books are presented in manner which engages and enlightens children of all ages.  You’ll find out how to drive, how to backup, how to turn, how to check air pressure in tires, even where you can get a good hamburger, hot fries and an ice cold soda.

The video talks not only about what a driver does all day and all night, but why he or she does it and how important professional truck drivers are to their families and especially how much they mean to this country.  For more information or to purchase your copy of the first episode in the I Wanna’ Be A Trucker series for just $14.95 plus shipping and handling, visit www.chromeshopmafia.com.
