The Technology & Maintenance Council (TMC) of American Trucking Associations awarded its highest honor — the Silver Spark Plug Award — to five trucking industry professionals during the Council's 2007 Fall Meeting in Nashville, Tenn., Sept. 24-27.

Women In Trucking Inc., a non-profit organization created to encourage the employment of women in the trucking industry and assist in promoting a more female-friendly environment for those already in the industry, today announced that in less than six months since its inception the organization has grown to more than 500 corporate and individual members.

The Museum of Contemporary Art in Washington, DC,  September 7-29 show, "Transportation: Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow" will contain paintings, photographs, sculptures, and a collection of books relating to the transportation industry.
